Pathways

Sterilized Plastic medication caps and IV caps, with acrylic on canvas

Pathways is a piece about uncertainty and illness narratives. Following the "yellow brick road" made of IV medication caps gathered during an oncology placement, this piece calls upon the abstract - colours, shapes, types of medication caps used - to talk about about the different pathways of life one may walk down after a diagnosis of cancer. I encourage you to reflect on your knowledge of life altering and threatening illness when you look at this piece, and what pathways you have seen in your own life and in practice.
