SYNESTHESIA 2020

Cristina Rodrigo is a self-taught artist with a strong passion for creating art that fills the gap in the lack of representation of South Asian women in art spaces. Her artwork is aimed at empowering marginalized women through images that convey power, femininity, and vulnerability. She is also inspired by the 13th-16th century designs from her culture and incorporates them to her artwork for embedding symbolic meaning to her paintings. She is currently a third-year dentistry student at UofT.
